About Me

Hi! My name is Rebecca, and I was born and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Science in Literacy Education from the University of Tennessee at Martin.

I spent 10 years teaching kindergarten and first grade before becoming a homeschool mom to my 5-year-old son, Isaiah. My passion has always been helping young learners develop strong reading and writing skills while fostering a love of literacy.

​

I created Lovely Little Literacy to share engaging educational resources, literacy activities, book recommendations, and teaching tips for teachers, homeschool families, and parents. I also create classroom and homeschool resources for my TPT store, inspired by my years in the classroom and my homeschooling journey.

​

I believe literacy is the foundation for lifelong success, and I hope this blog provides helpful ideas and encouragement for the educators and families who visit.

When I'm not creating resources or teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, reading, and exploring new places.
