Celebrate the end of the school year and the start of summer with 60 no-prep reading and writing activities. The reading graphic organizers provided are versatile and can be used with any fiction and non-fiction book about the end of school and summer. Students will identify the characters, setting, problem, and solution in a story and retell the beginning, middle, and end of a story. Students will identify the main idea, main topic, and key details in a text. Students will also complete a variety of activities reflecting on their year of learning by creating a memory book, writing an acrostic poem, completing writing activities, and engaging crafts. Students will also review nouns, verbs, adjectives, long and short vowels, syllables, and compound words by completing differentiated word sorts. Students will also write all about their summer plans through creating a summer bucket list, creating a summer reading list, and writing verbs and adjectives to describe summer.
