Today is one of my favorite days of the year because we celebrate one of my favorite authors and illustrators, Dr. Seuss.

Theodor Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He is best known for writing and illustrating over 60 books using his pen name Dr. Seuss. I love reading his books and teaching my students all about one of my favorite children's authors.

Share this video with your students to learn more about Dr. Seuss. After watching the video, I ask my students trivia questions about Dr. Seuss and his books. They compete to win prizes.

I also read this Who Was Dr. Seuss? by Janet B. Pascal to my students throughout the week to learn more about Dr. Seuss.

Hope you have a wonderful week with students!
