Celebrate the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024, with 37 no-prep literacy and science activities. Students will learn all about the solar eclipse, the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth. These activities are ideal for students in kindergarten, first grade, or second grade, and offer a range of engaging options. There is a differentiated reading passage about the solar eclipse that includes three options for the passage and questions. The reading graphic organizers provided are versatile and can be used with any non-fiction book about the solar eclipse, Sun, Moon, or Earth. Students will have the opportunity to identify the main idea, the main topic, and key details in a text. You can select your favorite solar eclipse books and print the pages that best suit your needs and the needs of your students. They can be used in literacy centers, small groups, independent seat work, early finisher tasks, substitute plans, or morning work.
